Network Design and Administration
September 8, 2010
When starting your business, you may have only a few computers. Without having to invest in a server, we can help you share your printers and files between all of your computers. However as your business grows, eventually you will need a server to centralize your business processes and increase your security. At SouthTech, we see the server as a launching platform to deploy a number of tools to increase your bottom-line.
Eventually, as the complexity of your network infrastructure grows, you may desire network and server monitoring software to determine issues that can be resolved easily before downtime occurs. Whether its email, collaboration or simplifying remote access, we can use your server to make your business go in the direction that you want it to.
At SouthTech, we only provide customized solutions for our clients. However, here are some typical solutions based solely on size:
Level 1 (1 to 2 computers)
File and print sharing in a workgroup using a wired or wireless router
Level 2 (3 to 7 computers)
File and print sharing in a workgroup using a wired or wireless router
Level 3 (7 to 15 computers)
File and print sharing through a server. Centralizing email and other applications on the server
Level 4 (16 to 75 computers)
File and print sharing through multiple servers, perhaps in multiple locations. At this level, segmenting networks can avoid network bottlenecks
Wherever your business is at, we can network your technology together. Not only can SouthTech help you with your networking, but we can support all your technology needs. From Security to web design to remote connectivity and business processes, we can use technology to grow your business. If your business doesn’t grow, our business doesn’t grow!
