Remote Access

September 8, 2010

At first, remote access to your important files may seem like a luxury.  However, there are many affordable solutions that can simplify remote access and make your life easier and more productive.  Eventually you will grow from accessing a few key file from home to providing remote access to your employees who telecommute or to branch offices.  With enough growth, you may consider moving your server to a data center for fast secure remote access from anywhere at anytime.

At SouthTech, we only provide customized solutions for our clients.  However, here are some typical solutions based solely on size:

Level 1 (1 to 2 computers)
Remote access limited to pay per month service for simple remote control of 1 or 2 computers.

Level 2 (3 to 7 computers)
Remote access through port forwarding using built in software in the Windows Operating System

Level 3 (7 to 15 computers)
Remote access through Remote Web Workplace or through a dedicated terminal server in order to provide remote access for several employees at the same time.

Level 4(16 to 75 computers)
Remote access through Remote Web Workplace or through a dedicated terminal server in order to provide remote access for several employees at the same time.  Depending on the number of concurrent connections, you may want to consider hosting your server at a data center to allow many users to connect simultaneously at optimal speed.

Wherever your business is at, we can provide you with secure and remote access.  Not only can SouthTech help you with your remote access, but we can support all your technology needs.  From networking to web design to security and business processes, we can use technology to grow your business.  If your business doesn’t grow, our business doesn’t grow!
