Backup

September 8, 2010

Backing up is the most essential part of any business.  Data may be expensive or impossible to recreate in the event of catastrophic hardware or Software failure.  In order to avoid this, every business should have both a local backup and an offsite backup.

At SouthTech, we only provide customized solutions for our clients.  However, here are some typical solutions based solely on size:

Level 1 (1 to 2 computers)
Identify and centralize data for manual backup to CD or DVD

Level 2 (3 to 7 computers)
Scheduled local backups to an external hard drive.  Schedule offsite backups through either an online backup service or to DVD.  Email notification of backup status.

Level 3 (7 to 15 computers)
Scheduled local backups to an external hard drive.  Schedule offsite backups through either an online backup service or to DVD.  Email notification of backup status.  Scheduled backup of services such as SQL Server and Exchange Server.

Level 4 (16 to 75 computers)
Scheduled local backups to an external hard drive.  Schedule offsite backups through either an online backup service or to DVD.  Email notification of backup status.  Backup of local servers and workstations to Continuous Data Protection network appliance.  Image-based backup for quick recovery from catastrophic failure.

Wherever your business is at, we can create a backup plan to protect your most important information.  Not only can SouthTech help you with your backup process, but we can support all your technology needs.  From networking to web design to remote connectivity and business processes, we can use technology to grow your business.  If your business doesn’t grow, our business doesn’t grow!
